Eye problems rarely happen at convenient times. Whether you've woken up with a painful red eye, had something fly into your eye at work, or your glasses have broken right before an important week — Prime Optometrists Auburn is here to help, with same-day appointments available for urgent eye concerns.
When to Seek Urgent Eye Care
The following symptoms should prompt you to seek same-day attention rather than waiting for a routine appointment:
- Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes
- A foreign body in the eye (metal, wood, dust, chemicals)
- Sudden onset of flashes, floaters, or a curtain across your vision
- Painful, red, or significantly discharge-producing eye
- Eye injury from impact or trauma
- Sudden double vision
- Severe eye pain with nausea (possible acute angle-closure glaucoma)
If you are experiencing any of these, call us immediately on (02) 9761 0005. For life-threatening emergencies or chemical splashes to the eye, call 000 or go to your nearest hospital emergency.
