By train, Lidcombe station is on the T2 line. Auburn is the next stop westbound, around three minutes by train. The clinic is an eight-minute walk from Auburn station.

Myopia Control for Lidcombe School Children

The Lidcombe and Olympic Park area has a large population of school-age children, and myopia (short-sightedness) is one of the fastest-growing eye conditions in Australian kids. Regular glasses correct the blur but do not slow the underlying progression of the condition. Myopia control treatment does.

We offer three evidence-based myopia control options:

  • Low-dose atropine eye drops
  • MiSight daily contact lenses, specifically designed to slow myopia progression
  • Myopia control spectacle lenses

Early intervention gives the best outcomes. If your child is squinting at the board, sitting close to the TV, or complaining of headaches after school, a children's eye test is a good first step. Read: Myopia Control: Why Regular Glasses Are Not Enough.

Advanced Diagnostics

Our clinic is equipped with OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) imaging, which produces detailed cross-sectional scans of the retina and optic nerve. This technology can detect glaucoma and macular degeneration years before any symptoms appear, giving you the opportunity to intervene before permanent vision loss occurs.

For anyone with a family history of glaucoma or macular degeneration, OCT imaging at a comprehensive eye test is particularly valuable. Read: OCT Eye Scans: What They Are and Why They Matter.
